Take a short course in NZ and become eligible for residence
Are you in New Zealand on a temporary work visa, or perhaps just considering moving to New Zealand but with no pathway to residence as you do not have Academic qualifications?
There are options for you…
Some New Zealand Qualification Authority-approved providers offer online courses at all levels to suit your needs. Get a New Zealand qualification and add those 40 points to your application for residence under the Skilled Migrant Category.
OpenPolytechnic offers a wide range of courses to suit your needs. Note the majority of these courses are open to applicants who are already in New Zealand on a valid temporary visa. A very small selection is open to people studying from offshore.
No student visa required
On an employer-assisted you cannot study for more than 3 months. Most online courses are 6-12 months.
We can seek a Variation Of Conditions on your work visa to allow you to study part-time. Alternatively, your New Zealand employer may see your studies as beneficial for professional development in your current role, in which case their support may wave the requirement to add study conditions to your work visa.
How does this work?
Contact us today so we can help determine a course that is suitable to your financial means as well as your career development goals.
We can take care of the enrolment and ensure the course will meet the requirements to claim points for qualification under the Skilled Migrant Category, to then allow you to apply for residence upon completion of your New Zealand qualification.
