New Zealand felt peaceful, welcoming, clean, and family-friendly from the very beginning.

My name is Uzma. I am originally from Pakistan and have lived in the UAE for the past 16 years. I recently moved to New Zealand with my husband and two daughters. I will be pursuing a Master’s in TESOL at Victoria University of Wellington.

For me, the most challenging part of the process was managing the waiting period and preparing everything for an international move with family.

My adviser was Mr Allan. He was extremely supportive, professional, and guided us sincerely throughout the entire process. He handled our immigration case with great care and close attention to detail, ensuring every step was managed efficiently and correctly. His proactive communication and consistent follow-ups gave us confidence and peace of mind throughout the journey.
The team at New Zealand Shores made our move smooth and far less stressful. I am truly grateful for his dedication and support.
Through this experience, I have learned how important it is to have a professional, authentic, and experienced adviser to manage such a complex immigration process.

My first impression of NZ was that New Zealand felt peaceful, welcoming, clean, and family-friendly from the very beginning.

What I miss from home… I miss family, friends, and traditional food from home. Thankfully, we have been able to find many halal and South Asian products in Wellington supermarkets and local stores. Local and university groups helped a lot to settling in.

My advice to other migrants is to stay patient, trust the process and your advisor, and come prepared with proper planning and an open mind.

One thing I wish I knew before I moved is how important it is to arrange long-term accommodation early, especially for families moving with children.

So far, our experience has been very positive. People have been kind and supportive, and we are thankful for this new beginning in New Zealand.
