If you are a qualified and experienced teacher looking for a change, you may be in luck! New Zealand Education Minister Nikki Kaye has just announced fundings equivalent to NZ$1m towards expanding a programme to get teachers started in Auckland jobs and another NZ$2m to source 200 teachers from overseas. The high costs of living have been driving people out of Auckland. However, the government is providing incentives to attract qualified locals and migrants alike to the City of Sails.
