Midwives wanted in New Zealand

Wanaka down to last midwife

Exploding population in certain regions means midwives shortage

A recent Radio NZ reports there is now only one midwife for the picturesque city of Wanaka, in New Zealand’s South Island. The College of Midwives confirms shortages across the country and this means opportunities for qualified migrants to bridge the gap.

Midwife is an occupation on the Immediate Skill Shortage list, which means a facilitated process for employers to hire migrants.
